Hi! I’m a yoga teacher based in London

… but born in beautiful Devon!

I started my yoga journey in 2011 with tight hamstrings and an inability to sit still (and not gonna lie, things haven’t changed much) but the years have shown me yoga has much more to offer than stretchy legs.

I took my Ashtanga and Vinyasa teacher training in India, followed by training in Yin training, Breathwork and Prayanma, and multiple courses with spectacular teachers such as Alexandria Crow, mainly focusing on sustainability and accessibility. I’ve always put my well-being as a priority, and my years of working in corporates witnessed a lot of burnt-out colleagues, which inspired me to save the world – I’m joking – but I am passionate about helping people slow down.

I experienced meditation before I experienced any other aspect of yoga. Whilst studying Social Science for my BSc, I was fortunate enough to study the link between psychology and Buddhism – and bam, my first meditation experience. I did not know then how thankful I’d come to be later in life. I realised how powerful meditation can be as a tool for studying the mind.

Yoga and I have had a bumpy relationship. Other than doing a few yoga shapes with mum in my teens, I didn’t go to an actual yoga class until 2011 (after my brother had been feeling lots of benefits from yoga) – alas, I did not enjoy it. The postures were too hard – I felt I needed to be ‘good’ at yoga and got caught up in aesthetics. I fell into the trap of thinking I needed to be good in order to gain anything, so then I became ‘good’ but soon realised I was continuously chasing something. I had no idea there was a deeper layer to yoga. There are many reasons to practice; yoga is a very personal practice.

Other fun facts about me: I love potatoes (a bit too much), hiking, Japanese art and laughing. I’m always laughing.
